Today, we're doing something a little different! We're teaming up with Jessi from Release Day Diva and getting together with a bunch other blogs for a little game. Be sure to check out the other sites too to join on in! :) "The Shifter army raised their weapons in response—swords and spears, huge axes, and daggers—most of them ancient and all magically enhanced by the Spirits of the Realm. A lot of women and teenage girls held Japanese naginatas and kaikens, ready for the Mahrasets’ attack. One group of huge men from Congo and Ghana yelled insults at the beasts from the top of their lungs. They brandished war hammers, Nzappa zaps, Japanese Tachi blades, and ancient Greek HarpÄ“ swords. Many of the double-natured didn’t carry weapons. Their enhancing Spirits planned for them to fight in their animal forms."
Happy mainstream monday!!! As promised, it is part two of our fall tv post. There are two shows that will be premiering very soon on abc, Once Upon A Time and 666 Park Ave.
Once Upon a Time ended, as the saying goes, with a bang. As Emma began to loose hope in saving Henry after he was poisoned by the Evil Queen she simply kissed his forehead. And like other fairy tales that simple kiss broke the curse that was casted over Storybrooke, allowing all of its inhabitants to regain their memory and realize their true identities. But there's a catch. They are still stuck in the real world. But magic has also came apart of the regular world too. Talk about some serious clif hangers there! I started watching Once Upon a Time when it first came on last fall but after episode five or six it sort of lost me. But from the preview for season two and how season one ended I may have to catch back up before it comes back on on September 30.
666 Park Avenue is based on the bestselling books by Gabriella Pierce. The Drake, a new apartment in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is the hottest place to live. So when Henry and Jane move to New York from the midwest chasing their dreams that is exactly where they go. But The Drake isn't what it appears. The building itself is dark magic that is being manipulated by Gavin and Olivia the owners [I believe] and is a danger to all of the residence. The show itself has several writer/producers that have worked on big named series such as Gossip Girl, The Lying Game, and The Vampire Diaries and starts Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable, Eric Palladino, and Vannessa Williams just to name a few. This will be on September 30 after Once Upon A Time. If I don't have something else on that day this may be one of my new shows!!!
Also, ABC Family's 13 nights of Halloween will start in October so you can watch Harry Potter, Hocus Pocus, and all the great Halloween movies
Are there any other shows you all are looking forward to seeing? Let us know!! We can always use good tv shows to watch.

Happy Mainstream Monday all!! With school started back and fall just right around the corner all of our favorite tv shows will be starting up very, very soon. And while you may have had to say goodbye to some really good ones (The Secret Circle :(((), there are some new ones getting started that just might still your heart too. Shall we discuss?
The Vampire Diaries. Oh My GOD, did you see that finale? Although, really can we be surprised? Especially if you have read the books, which I am totally excited to see that the show has come to a full circle back to the story line of the original books again. While Julie Peck said that the kitsune twins from the book won't be making an appearance as of right now there is still sure to be plenty of excitement instore for us TVD fans this season. There's Damon Salvatore, Elaina will become a vampire or die, and really they can't kill the main character, Damon Salvatore, Alrick is dead, I was really pulling for his character too, Damon Salvatore, Tyler is possessed by Klause, Damon Salvatore... Need I go on? I may die before October 11 gets here I am so excited!!
The cw also has a handful of new shows and two of them are fantasy/scifi based, Arrow and Beauty and the Beast.
Arrow, based off the DC comic books/graphic novels will premier on the CW October. It follows the character Oliver Queen who goes missing for five year and thought to be dead. Only he's not. He has been living on a remote island for five years and when he is discovered and transplanted back home it is obvious that he has changed. By day, he tries to make peace with everyone he may have hurt in his old life and get back to normal. By night, he becomes his alter ego, Arrow, trying to right everything in society and improve Starling City to "it's former glory". The show will star Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and Katie Cassidy (who you may know from Gossip Girl and Monte Carlo) as Laurel Lance amongst other people that I haven't really heard of before. But I think this may become one of my shows. I love comic book movies so a TV show must be better right?
Beauty and the Beast will also premier on thursdays after TVD on October 11. This show, I'm not particularly excited about. While I love the disney movie, it has already been redone as the movie "Beastly" a few years back. While the Belle persona is still intact in the the main character Cat, strong, confident, smart, that is about as far as their similarties go. Cat is a police detective haunted by the death of her mother she witness as a kid and man/animal thing that saved her life. While working on a case they Cat and her partner find finger prints that lead to Dr. Vincent Keller, who has been "dead" for ten years. As Cat digs deeper she discovers that Vincent is indeed alive and has a huge, deadly secret; when he becomes enraged he turns into an out of control beast. Sounds a little like the hulk to me. Cat is played by Kristen Kreuk who you may know as Lana from Smallville. The show also has several big named producers/writers and familar faces working on it so it may just become a hit afterall.
That's all for this Monday but tune in next week for Part II of our Fall TV post! You guys have any shows that you are particularly excited about???
I don't know about you but I've been waiting a long while to see what Amazon had hiding up their sleeve... my sister, looking for a new tablet over the past month or so, was looking for a tablet and considering the Fire when she realized they were nowhere to be found! Badadada! Hello shiny new pretty toys.
Also on a side note, the original Fire is now only $160.00.
The cheapest Kindle is the same size as the original, the price sits at $199 for the 16 GB. $249 for the 32 GB. They're calling all of these the Kindle Fire HD. The next one up is a bit larger than that 8.9", the 16 GB is $299 and the 32 GB is $369. Lastly, we have the very first 4G Kindle! Priced at $499 for 32 GB and $599 for 64 GB, this Kindle will let you surf the web anywhere with only paying $10 a year for LTE!
I've wondered for quite a while if e-readers would go all the way into 4G... I'm so pumped Amazon has.
Each of these has double antennas. Which means that it will allow you to access the fastest Wi-Fi available at all times. They also all have front viewing cameras (totally new to the Kindle!) to take photos and videos such as Skype. The devices have 40% faster downloading speeds than the previous Kindle. Speakers are on the bottom of the device and the top for ultimate "surround sound". I also found a bit on how when buying a game you can also get new characters or items for those games and with the game items comes with a physical toy as well. Pretty spiffy.
Whispersync has expanded even more! It's now available to connect from your audiobooks to the physical books along with games. And they also have this really cool thing they're calling x-ray for movies that allows you to point at an actor and they'll tell you who they are and give you a complete bio. Basically IMDB only without having to wait around hoping they say the name one more time so you can figure out who they're talking to!
A really cool thing for parents, not so much kids, is that you can control how much time they spend playing games or watching movies and it sounds like the Kindle will make them read a book or put the device down!
Amazon is saying that this is it, this is the device that's better, faster and sleeper than the iPad or many other tablets out there right now. I personally can't wait to get my hands on one to see if they're right or full of poop!
All of these ship out November 20th. So who is going to be in line or pre-ordering for these bad boys? what new features are you most excited for?
Be sure to stop in next week to get all the details on the new Kindle Paperwhites!
Information found from gizmodo.com and amazon.com.
